Desafío Ruta 40: In three acts

The Desafío Ruta 40, one of the most important cross country rally races, returns to the calendar through the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). The race will take place from August 26 to September 1, 2023 and will go through the beautiful landscapes and challenging extreme stages of La Rioja, Belén (Catamarca) and Salta, in the north of Argentina.

 

In this adventure race for bikes, quads, cars (T1 and T2) and UTVs (T3 and T4), the participation of some of the best riders in the world is assured thanks to the unification of the FIA and FIM world championships. The Desafío Ruta 40 will offer to the competitors the opportunity to challenge their skills in thrilling stages while enjoying spectacular landscapes in one of the most exciting competitions of the calendar.

 

This 11th edition of the DR40 will pass through emblematic terrains of three provinces that inspire rally. The competition will cross terrains of La Rioja, Catamarca and Salta, which have already been marked with fire in the memory of drivers and spectators, thanks to the rich history of this discipline in the times of the Dakar Rally in South America. La Rioja will be the starting point as well as the site selected for the scrutineering. Belén will present a challenge in itself. While Salta will have the honor of hosting the finish and the prize-giving podium.
