Explore the Desafío Ruta 40 YPF bivouacs

The Desafío Ruta 40 YPF, one of the most exciting competitions in the world of rally-raid, will take place from 26 August to 1 September in the provinces of La Rioja, Belén (Catamarca) and Salta in Argentina. As part of the World Rally Raid Championship, this fourth round of the W2RC promises to be an unforgettable experience for competitors and spectators equally.

During the rally, the bivouacs will play a key role as the temporary home for the teams and the race organization. These temporary bivouacs offer a very special atmosphere for both the riders and the fans, creating a unique space for camaraderie in the heart of a competition.

In this sense, the restoration area in the bivouac will be one of the main points of the camp, providing a meeting place for riders, teams, organizers and media. Here, everyone will be able to enjoy delicious food and drinks, share experiences and emotions of each day, and enjoy the unique atmosphere that characterizes the world of rally-raid.

Another significant moment in each bivouac will be the briefing and the W2RC ceremonies, which will take place every day at 20:00. This will be a key moment for the participants and teams, as this is when they will receive important information about the next stage. Also, as part of the World Championship, medals will be awarded to the day’s stage winners.

The bivouacs will be open to the public and will be an exceptional opportunity for motorsport fans to experience the excitement of the Desafío Ruta 40 YPF at first hand. Every day, from 12 to 19hs and with free admission, spectators will have the chance to explore the bivouac, watch the work of the teams and meet the protagonists of this competition and immerse themselves in the atmosphere that surrounds this world-class race.

In La Rioja, the bivouac will be located in the provincial capital, in the Superdomo located in the Parque de la Ciudad. Afterwards, the rally caravan will move to the city of Belén, in the province of Catamarca. There, the bivouac will be located in the well-known FAMAYFIL Recreational Centre. To finish in Salta, the bivouac will be at the Convention Centre, a site also known for being the «home» on numerous occasions during the Dakar Rally in South America.
