1 month to go!
The Desafío Ruta 40 is around the corner. Just one month to go until the start of the 12th edition of this spectacular race that will take place from June 1 to 7 in Córdoba, San Juan and La Rioja and will be part of the fourth round of the World Rally Raid Championship (W2RC).
After a great return to the world stage in 2023, this new edition promises to be outstanding, where the competitors will have to cover 3,213 kilometers, of which 2,085 kilometers will be Special Stage, on Argentine soil to the delight not only of the competitors and teams, but also of the passionate national fans who eagerly await the arrival of the best competitors on the world.
Undoubtedly, it is a promising route. Córdoba will host the Desafío Ruta 40 (as well as the W2RC) for the first time. Having a great history linked to motorsport, where it has hosted the WRC and the Dakar Rally on several times, now the province will have the honor of hosting the competition for the start and finish of this race. There, the bivouac will be located in the provincial capital, at the Predio Ferial.
After the Scrutineering, Starting Ceremony, Prologue and Stage 1, the rally caravan will move to San Juan. The land of sun and the famous Zonda wind will welcome the Desafío Ruta 40 again after six years (the last time was in 2018) to race Stage 2 and the loop of Stage 3. The bivouac will be located at modern Circuito San Juan Villicum track, which used to be recently the home of the Six Days in 2023 as well as the World Superbike Championship.

The race will then head to La Rioja for what will be Stage 4. The province that hosted the start in 2023 will host the rally again this year. Once again, the Estadio Super Domo will be the home and work epicenter of the teams and race organization. Finally, the caravan will return to Córdoba for the fifth and final stage.
