Malle Moto

For the first time, Desafío Ruta 40 will feature Malle Moto category, one of the most demanding and purest modalities of rally raid.

In this category, riders will compete without external assistance, personally taking care of the maintenance and repair of their motorcycles at the end of each stage. The incorporation of Malle Moto represents a new challenge within the competition, highlighting the spirit of adventure, autonomy, and strength that characterise true rally riders.

DR40 WILL HAVE MALLE MOTO IN THE 2026 EDITION

Malle Moto category represents a race format open to bike riders (Rally 2, Rally 3 and Quads) without assistance, who do not benefit from any registered rider in the race and/or in Assistance, and who are subject to specific sporting regulations.

The organisation undertakes to act as the assistant to the riders in this category, providing them with the following facilities:

Tools for repair
1 sleeping bag
1 tent
1 floor mat
1 box (or similar) to store your belongings
Transport of above belongings between bivouacs

REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:
Meals (From May 23 -noon- to May 29 -noon-)
Logistics (only) for remote refuelling in stages requiring so, for bikes, quads
Competitors' sporting rights
Participation in the event (administrative and scrutineering, prologue and 5 days of racing) sporting documents (RoadBook, Rally Guide, etc.)
Medical insurance for competitors and assistance personnel regularly registered
Ambulances and medical helicopters for fast assistance, all equipped with first aid and rescue equipment (for competitors)
At the bivouac, access to the camping area with bathrooms and showers
Awards ceremony

Navigation and tracking systems (mandatory use)
How do I register?

The registration process will be complete once payment has been made (and the proof of payment sent).
To benefit from the early payment discount, the registration fee must be paid in full by 16 March.
From 17 March until the entry deadline (4 May): the full rate will apply.
For those competitors who do not accept the Organisers’ optional advertising, the fee will be increased by 100%.

Any person, holder of a valid provincial license issued by a Federation, over 18 years of age and having a valid national medical license, is eligible in the OPEN category.

To score points in the World Rally Raid Championship (W2RC) each competitor must have a FIM 2026 international license (Please contact your FMNR -National Federation- to check the conditions for obtaining the license).

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse the registration of a rider, without having to give the reasons for this refusal.

Competitors of a nationality other than Argentinian must present a written authorization issued by their Federation at the administrative checks.

Until the time of the administrative verification, the competitor may freely replace the registered vehicle by another one.
