The opening ceremony had a full house

The official opening of the 12th edition of Desafío Ruta 40 YPF enjoyed some music before the start ramp, which this year was located at Parque del Chateau, a few meters from the bivouac located in Complejo Ferial de Córdoba.

The show began with an exhibition of Red Bull Batalla. The fans present there were able to enjoy the skills of Naista and Keidi in a freestyle MC. Afterwards, fans were able to watch, listen and greet one by one all the competitors of this edition, who showed off their machines after racing the Prologue in El Cóndor-Copina.

The first to cross the gate were the Rally GP riders, with Luciano Benavides as the leading rider (reigning W2RC champion) followed by the quads with another Argentinean leading the way, Manuel Andujar. Qatari prince, Nasser Al Attiyah, led the cars.

Throughout the ceremony, the Argentine flag was present for each runner as a sign of the start. In addition, Martín LLaryora, the Governor of the Province of Córdoba, greeted the competitors on stage.
Now everything is ready to run the first stage of the race.
