#GirlPower At Desafio ruta 40

This edition of the Desafío Ruta 40 YPF has 6 women participating in different categories.

The Spanish driver Cristina Gutiérrez is driving the #303 Can-Am Maverick X3, with co-driver Pablo Moreno Huete as part of the Red Bull Can-Am Factory Team.

Yéssica Gentile, co-drives her father Rubén in a prototype of the HV Racing team in the Open category. A family linked to cars and racing cars now has this new crew taking part in this Desafío Ruta 40. «Racing with my father and sharing it from the inside is something unforgettable», Yéssica said. And as a message to the rest of the girls who like motor racing, she encourages them saying «go for it! The teams treat us very well and when we enjoy it, it’s great fun. In short, we are the same, there are no differences», she closed.

Antonela Fassi (Macua Sport Team) is Pablo Macua’s co-driver. «I never imagined I would be here, I started very slowly and I am very happy», Anto began, «Yéssica is also in our team, and we are just one more, there is absolutely no difference», she commented on her experience in the Desafío Ruta 40. And as a message for the upcoming generations of women in motorsport she said: «My message for those who like it is to take the plunge. We are growing a lot and there are many of us in this field. There are many girls who are drivers as well as co-drivers and this puts us women in a privileged position and I think it will continue to grow a lot.
Valentina Pertegarini, will co-drive her husband, Nicolás Cavigliasso, in a light prototype, in the T3 category as part of the Wevers Sport team.

Ayelén Bogado is racing this Desafío Ruta 40 with a Yamaha Raptor 700 and she told us: «I am very proud of participating in a race like this. But what I am most proud of is how we are gaining ground in motor racing in general. We can do whatever we like, I like quads, but whatever it is, women can do anything». With regard to the generations to come, she is very excited: «I love girls asking me for a selfie, they see what I do, and they realise that it is also an option for them. It’s really great this is happening and there are more and more of us. To close, he left a message full of hope for everyone: «To the younger girls: Say what they like, dare and work for your dreams. It’s not easy but you have to try hard and do what makes you happy,» she concluded.”

To close, the last lady on this list is Suany Martinez (Can-Am Renegade), who is racing in family, as she is going through the roads of La Rioja, Catamarca and Salta with her father Leonardo, who also rides another quad.
